The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has issued a new warning about cybercriminals who are exploiting the use of beta-testing apps to steal critical personal data from users. Beta-testing apps are services that allow app developers to test mobile apps before they are officially released. However, beta-testing apps are usually not subjected to the review processes of a mobile operating system. In a public service announcement released this August, the FBI warned that cybercriminals are “embedding malicious code in mobile beta-testing applications” to defraud their potential victims. The agency also warned that cybercriminals will often try phishing or romance scams to establish communications with the victim. After gaining their trust, the victims will be instructed to download a mobile beta-testing app hidden within a mobile beta-testing app environment, “promising incentives such as large financial payouts.” Malicious apps allow hackers to steal personal info Here are some potential red flags of a malicious app: Smartphone slows down when processing a request Faster-draining mobile battery The installation of unauthorized apps without the owner’s knowledge Exposure to persistent pop-up ads According to the FBI, these malicious apps allow hackers to steal personally identifiable information. The apps can also be used to access the financial accounts of victims and to take over their devices. The apps may look legitimate because hackers will use names, images or descriptions similar to popular apps. The agency advised users to always check app developer and customer reviews before downloading any app. Users were also warned to restrict app permissions and uninstall apps they’re no longer using. Other malicious apps may request access to permissions that don’t have anything to do with its stated functionality. For example, if an app description has spelling and grammatical errors or provides vague, generic information while details of functionality are missing, the FBI warned that people could be trying to download a malicious app. The FBI said it is already aware of various fraud schemes where unidentified cyber-criminals contact victims on dating and networking apps and instruct them to download mobile beta-testing apps, such as cryptocurrency exchanges, that “enable theft.” Because they believe they are talking to a real person, the victims will enter their legitimate account details into the app. Next, they will be sending money they think will be invested in cryptocurrency, but instead, the victim’s funds are sent to the cyber-criminals instead. The FBI warned that if smartphone users were to download a fraudulent app that is being advertised as a legitimate crypto investment app, they may end up losing money through fake investments. Additionally, it warned people to avoid sending payment to anyone with whom they have only spoken online, even if it seems like they “have established a relationship with the individual.” The agency advised users to also avoid opening an email, email attachment or message if they seem suspicious even if the installed antivirus software claims that they are safe to open. People should also be careful of unsolicited attachments, even when they come from known individuals, warned the FBI. The agency told users not to download or use suspicious-looking apps as a tool for investing unless they can “verify the legitimacy of the app.” Users were also told to be aware of a sense of urgency or threats, such as an email or notification warning them that “your account will be closed” if they don’t comply or a message telling them that they must “act now.” (Related: More than 376M SCAM messages sent daily to steal money, clone voices of Americans.) Russian officials claimed that private military company Wagner Group founder and chief Yevgeny Prigozhin is dead as he was one of 10 passengers aboard a plane that crashed in a field around 200 miles north of Moscow. Russia’s civil aviation agency, the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia), published a list of the 10 people on board a plane flying from Moscow to Saint Petersburg on Aug. 23. This plane, described as a private business jet, crashed near the village of Kuzhenkino in the Tver Oblast, around the halfway point between Moscow and Saint Petersburg. Video footage spreading on Russian news outlets and social media confirms that an aircraft was seen plummeting to the ground in Tver Oblast. The Rosaviatsia’s list includes three crew members onboard the plane. Other Russian authorities claim that eight bodies have already been recovered from the wreckage. Other reported passengers on the plane are Dmitry Utkin, the head of Wagner’s military operations, and Valery Chekalov, the head of Wagner’s security services. Two Wagner veteran officers and two of Prigozhin’s bodyguards were also among the listed passengers. The plane’s pilot, co-pilot and flight attendant also died in the crash. While Prigozhin’s death is still unconfirmed, both Russian state media as well as Telegram channels affiliated with Wagner have reported his death. Russian federal authorities have announced an investigation into the plane crash and have suggested that the plane carrying Prigozhin may have violated air safety rules. Wagner claims jet carrying Prigozhin was shot down by Russia The plane crash has immediately fueled suspicions regarding possible Kremlin involvement in the crash since the long-term fate of the Wagner founder has been the subject of intense speculation since his short-lived mutiny. In fact, pro-Wagner sources are already claiming that the plane was shot down by Russian air defenses. Videos shared on pro-Wagner Telegram channels claim to prove that the plane carrying Prigozhin was shot down because the plane immediately dropped from a large cloud of smoke – a kind of freefall that can occur when an aircraft sustains severe damage. Frame-by-frame analysis by the Associated Press supports the theory that the plane suffered some kind of explosion mid-flight. Other sources claim to have footage showing a Russian missile striking the aircraft carrying Prigozhin, with one supposed insider source claiming that Russian air defenses shot two S-300 missiles at the aircraft. Furthermore, Russian sources claim that a second Wagner Group-owned private business jet departed Moscow at around the same time the plane that crashed took off but then turned around and landed back in Moscow around the time of the incident. The existence of this second jet has fueled speculation that Prigozhin may still be alive and that the plane crash was a ruse for him to escape into exile. “The Russian Ministry of Defense (MoD) and the Kremlin have been destroying the Wagner private military company and weakening Prigozhin’s authority since the rebellion,” noted the military-focused think tank the Institute for the Study of War in one of its latest assessments of the ongoing conflicts in Russia and Ukraine. “Prigozhin was likely attempting to counter the Russian MoD’s and the Kremlin’s destruction of Wagner,” the think tank continued. “The assassination of Wagner’s top leadership was likely the final step to eliminate Wagner as an independent organization… Wagner PMC’s future without a leader remains uncertain.” “No matter what caused the plane crash, everyone will see it as an act of vengeance and retribution [by the Kremlin, and] the Kremlin wouldn’t really stand in the way of that [view],” noted political analyst Tatiana Stanovaya, a senior fellow for the think tank the Carnegie Russia Eurasia Center. “From Putin’s point of view, as well as the security forces and the military – Prigozhin’s death must be a lesson to any potential followers,” she continued. O’Rourke Most of you have entered the final stage of your voluntary acceptance of mass slavery, and that slavery is fully dependent on the concept of fear, compliance to a false ‘authority,’ and total dependence on the very tyrant called government, whose plan is to control the world by controlling the common, ignorant, and apathetic collective crowd called ‘the people.’ The most vital component of this ‘Great Reset’ agenda, is for the majority to be dependent on the State, and that phenomenon is now close at hand. The final foundation of all restriction, control of financial and monetary transactions, and control of movement, will hinge on the farcical fraud called manmade ‘climate change.’ No worries however, because many other excuses, and aspects of control and manipulation will be used as well, but at this point, the ‘climate change’ hoax is the lynchpin of the future takeover plot. The speed of this agenda has accelerated far past earlier time projections, and I believe this to be due to more exposure by the few who understand what is actually happening, to explain all the contradiction, lies, and propaganda, that have inundated society for the past few decades. At this point, the somewhat panicked ruling class and its pawns in government, have vastly escalated their terror campaign worldwide, in order to shut down dissent before it can gain too much ground. This campaign of terror is meant to drive the tool of fear to a much higher degree, so as to be able to accomplish takeover goals with less resistance. As mentioned earlier, the main focus of this increased intimidation is based on the fake ‘climate change’ model. One obvious example of this fear campaign, is the purposely heightened threat of so-called weather anomalies, especially what are conspicuous (intentionally set) fires burning at ridiculously high temperatures, destroying particular properties, towns, cities, and valuable mineral-laden land holdings. These unnatural fire outbreaks began in earnest in early spring, and have continued incessantly since that time. What began in Canada, has now overtaken the Hawaiian island of Maui, among many other areas around the world, and the devastation is incredible. Only psychopaths could perpetrate such evil as this, but the coverup and blame on bogus ‘climate change,’ has been accepted by most of course, and promulgated by the ruling class, and every State-owned or controlled mainstream media outlet. The attack on all truthtellers claiming these horrendous fires to be intentionally set, was instant, without any legitimate evidence to the contrary to back their plotted refutations, and in fact, this universal response was certainly coordinated. Now there is a fight to see who will take this land in Maui, and by take, I mean exactly that. It has been exposed that many are attempting to buy and gain contracts to build a new ‘smart city’ on this hallowed ground, and many big players are involved, including Blackrock.. Those claiming to help, people like Jeff Bezos and Oprah Winfrey, are already heavily involved, and the governor of Hawaii, Josh Green, has taken control of this, and not to the benefit of those residents and business owners who lost everything. (As an aside, the houses and property of Bezos and Winfrey magically escaped the fire?) This evil governor, a true controlling politician, said, and before all bodies have been recovered, or any funerals for the dead have taken place, “I’m already thinking of ways for the state to acquire that land so that we can put it into workforce housing, to put it back into families, or make it open spaces in perpetuity as a memorial to the people who were lost,” Democrat Gov. Josh Green said. What about all those who own that land the ‘State’ is going to force buy? (Steal) But let us not stop here, as during this same year, there were unbelievable train derailments. most all of which involved very poisonous, and toxic materials, the most noted of course, being the purposely released (due to deliberate fire-setting) noxious chemicals in East Palestine, Ohio, that poisoned much of the northeast U.S. There were many more incidents of this nature as well. As to extreme fear-mongering, weather ‘services’ nationwide, have intentionally changed all reporting in order to strike extreme fear in the collective herd called the ‘citizenry.’ Fantastic claims of record heat, which are bogus in most every case, are rampant. Instead of greens and darker muted colors to show heat, dark reds and purples just so happen to be the new norm across the entire country, and simultaneously; a coincidence certainly? In addition, the heat is not just hot, it is now “boiling” according to these weather idiots. These descriptions, while ludicrous and plotted, are purposely meant to cause undue alarm in an uninformed ‘public’ with little or no desire or effort to understand any truth. All of these things, and an endless supply of other threats, including the threat of nuclear war, of financial collapse, of food shortages, of extreme inflation leading to extreme prices, to new ‘pandemic’ emergencies, to travel restrictions, lockdowns, monitoring of all transactions, and of total digitization of the economy in order to control all, are now constant. The end of cash is being pursued aggressively, and the replacement by central bank digital currency (CBDC) is looming in the near future. This agenda too, has recently accelerated greatly, indicating that the ruling element of society is attempting to expand its control mechanisms more quickly so as to avoid any pushback. Given what is happening in open view, the great increase of intentionally-structured disastrous events, the massive transfer of wealth and property, the government’s aggressive stance immediately following every manufactured ‘weather event’ or so-called ‘natural’ emergency, and the total disregard for life and personal property, how long will it be until this takeover plot becomes fully entrenched in reality? All of these events are meant to make the average ‘citizen’ dependent on the State. The more dependency, the easier to control. When the bulk of society cannot or will not take care of themselves, will not be responsible for their own lives and freedom, will not fight back in their own defense, and voluntarily choose to acquiesce to authority and State relief instead of taking any personal responsibility, what will become of this country? It will be very telling to watch this State terrorism that has been released on Maui, and how the people respond. Will they give up their homes and land that was destroyed by and due to evil forces, or will they demand to keep and hold their property? Will they disallow this totalitarian scum called a governor from his nefarious U.N. plans, and keep what is theirs? Or will they simply allow the State’s political class to do as they please with everything they have deliberately destroyed, and become wards (slaves) of the State? Once mass dependence is in place, there will no longer be any chance of a free society. The State seeks to control all, and the way to accomplish that heinous mission, is to make the populace at large completely impotent, so that they have not the ability or drive to fight back. Total dependency is key to any takeover conspiracy by the ruling class and its State thugs, and many feigned threats and so-called emergencies will erupt on a regular basis going forward. Data coming out of Europe shows that business activity this month has contracted to its lowest level since November 2020. In the Eurozone – the parts of the continent that currently use the euro as its main legal currency – the HCOB Flash Eurozone composite purchasing managers’ index (PMI) fell to 47.0 in August from 48.6 in July, its weakest level in 33 months. A PMI is a comprehensive index attempting to measure the prevailing direction of economic trends in certain economic sectors. The quoted flash composite PMI is focused on the eurozone’s manufacturing and services sectors. (Related: Conservative German party brands EU a “failed project,” calls for its complete overhaul as a federation of autonomous nations.) A reading of 50 or above would have marked an expansion in economic activity, while a reading below last month’s 48.6 would have signaled a contraction in the continent’s economy. Some economists were hoping for a very modest increase to 48.8 for August. The recent PMI would be the lowest reading since April 2013 if the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic months were excluded. Cyrus de la Rubia, chief economist for the Hamburg Commercial Bank in northern Germany, said the eurozone’s service sector is “unfortunately showing signs of turning down to match the poor performance of manufacturing.” The services PMI dropped to a 30-month low at 48.3, while the manufacturing PMI only rose slightly from 42.7 in July to 43.7 in August – nowhere near enough to prevent the eurozone from entering a recession. “Considering the PMI figures in our GDP [growth] nowcast leads us to the conclusion that the eurozone will shrink by 0.2 percent in the third quarter,” predicted de la Rubia. “The downward pressure on the economy of the eurozone in August stems mainly from the German service sector, which switched from growth to contraction at an unusual pace,” de la Rubia added, noting that reduced output in German manufacturing also added to arguments that the country is becoming “the sick man of Europe.” Euro, British pound falling in value Following the release of the eurozone composite PMI, the euro responded by losing approximately 0.3 percent of its value compared to the United States dollar, trading at a low of $1.0809. Across the English Channel, the United Kingdom pound similarly experienced a dip, falling by 0.8 percent in value to $1.2636. These values represent a more than one-month low for the euro and a two-month low for the pound. Furthermore, the worse-than-expected readings have made financial analysts predict that both the Bank of England and the European Central Bank (ECB) may respond with less aggressive interest rate increases. “The continuing sharp drop in the PMI data will test the ECB’s growth optimism,” said Mark Wall, chief European economist at Deutsche Bank. “Ongoing manufacturing weakness might be more than just cyclical. It could reveal a more persistent and structural competitive shock.” “The weakening in services might reveal that monetary transmission is stronger than the hawks were expecting,” he continued. “We are expecting the ECB to pause [rate increases] in September, but it is not clear that inflation is where the ECB wants it yet. A pause should not be misinterpreted as the peak.” Back in July, ECB President Christine Lagarde herself noted that, for August, the central bank would either raise rates or pause rate hikes. No discussions were done considering decreasing interest rates. “We continue to expect services inflation to ease enough over the coming months to convince the ECB to not hike past September,” said Melanie Debono, senior Europe economist for economic research firm Pantheon Macroeconomics. “Stagnating employment combined with decreasing production and results therefore in lower output per head,” said de la Rubia. “As a result, the ECB may be more reluctant to pause the hiking cycle in September.” Current predictions suggest that ECB rates will remain unchanged next month at 3.75 percent.
