A series of wildfires swept through the island of Maui and its historic Lahaina town in Hawaii in early August. However, the never-ending revelations about authorities’ questionable and poor decisions during the incident continue to unfold. Herman Andaya, now the former chief of Maui’s Emergency Management Agency, decided not to activate warning sirens during the wildfires. He claimed that doing so would have caused more confusion and wouldn’t have saved anyone. Moreover, children were left at home without their parents after power cuts on the island closed the schools – contributing to a large number of juvenile casualties. Meanwhile, those who dodged the barricades and sought refuge in the ocean survived. (Related: Island police announce launch of arson investigation: “Climate change” propagandist may have started fires in Hawaii.) Following the poor decisions that led to more casualties during the wildfires, reports have emerged that authorities are turning away residents that arrive with much-needed supplies like generators and water. Survivors who receive water provided by the state government get sick after drinking. Hawaiian Electric, which promised to invest in preventive measures after the 2019 wildfires, still lacks preparedness. The local utility company obsessively focused on renewable energy while spending a mere $245,000 on wildfire safety over the four-year period between 2019 and 2023. Furthermore, M. Kaleo Manuel – an official at the Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) – refused to release water for the West Maui fire. The deputy director for the DLNR’s  Commission on Water Resource Management believed in water equity and reverence for water as a privilege rather than a resource. A Maui resident says they were winning against the fires “until the water shut off.” Real estate developers taking advantage of the tragic incident in Maui Hawaii Gov. Josh Green has been vocal about his intention to prevent opportunistic land acquisitions by foreign entities and ensure that the recovery and redevelopment process prioritizes the interests of Hawaii’s people. “We don’t want this to become a clear space for overseas interests to exploit. The state will take the lead in preserving it first,” he said during a press conference. The Aloha State’s governor stressed the need to prevent exploitation and land theft: “You will be pretty poorly informed if you try to steal land from our people and then build here.” Despite the clear stance, reports have emerged of developers reaching out to residents about acquiring land owned by families for generations. They have exploited the situation by purchasing land from desperate homeowners. The fear is that without swift insurance payouts and adequate government aid, survivors might be compelled to sell to deep-pocketed buyers. These external parties could then rapidly gentrify neighborhoods and alter the character of the island. Long-time Maui resident John Dimuro expressed his neighbors’ collective sentiment: “The government should just say ‘No, you’re not allowed to develop.’ Say no, just flat-out no.” Jonah Lion, who runs an eco-cultural tourism company, affirmed the resolve of many islanders. He stressed: “No matter how much money you offer – no, we’re not selling. This is not for sale.” Sterling Higa, executive director of the nonprofit Housing Hawaii’s Future, outlined the potential challenges that await affected residents. “The real danger is all of this compensation to rebuild, if it comes at a later time, doesn’t necessarily cover the interim cost of rent,” he explained. “Many of us are concerned that in the immediate wake of a disaster, people are not always in the right state of mind to make such a consequential decision.” Visit Disaster.news for more stories about the wildfires in Hawaii. Maui wildfires continue to expose government’s FAILURES and QUESTIONABLE decisions A series of wildfires swept through the island of Maui and its historic Lahaina town in Hawaii in early August.…

Multiple sources have confirmed that the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), one of the most brutal cartels in Mexico, has formed its own elite unit of drone operators. U.S. based-security analysts, Mexican officials and cartel members themselves attested to the existence of CJNG’s elite drone unit. The unit consists of a highly trained group of “sicarios” or hitmen devoted to modifying commercial drones and turning them into flying bombs. These weaponized drones are then deployed against rival cartels and even the Mexican government itself. The merciless CJNG started weaponizing commercial drones more than four years ago, per researchers and Mexican authorities. Nevertheless, the formation of specialized drone groups shows that the cartel is moving its drone operations to the next level. “We began training as a group in 2021, but only this year we started operating,” said an anonymous member of the CJNG’s Operadores Droneros unit. He disclosed that the unit is supposedly made up of a dozen individuals, and works only in the states of Michoacan and Jalisco at present. The CJNG drone pilot remarked that his unit is mainly committed to locating and assaulting opposing cartels. These include the Los Viagras and Knights Templar groups in Michoacan and the Sinaloa Cartel in Jalisco. “It depends on which drone we use, but we can be miles away and confirm that [our rivals] are at a certain house or vehicle,” he said. “[And] then, [we] crash the drone with explosives.” The Operadores Droneros unit is still a new and unpopular group inside CJNG, according to an intelligence official inside the Mexican Armed Forces (FAM). Nevertheless, the official said this does not mean that the unit is harmless. CJNG using, weaponizing China-made drones The drones used by the cartel are generally made in China and purchased online through retail platforms. The CJNG pilot said the drones are then packed with improvised explosives, including potassium perchlorate and aluminum. Shrapnel such as buckshot and nails are added in for more damage. An exclusive video acquired by the Daily Beast featured an Operadores Droneros henchman packing explosive charges inside plastic bottles. It also showed nails and buckshot near the working area, as well as a commercial drone in the back of a pickup truck. Several sources inside CJNG verified the clip’s authenticity. According to them, it was recorded a few hours before an August 2023 attack against the Knights Templar in the village of Apatzingan at Michoacan state. The anonymous CJNG member said “Americans and a Colombian man” were the founders of the cartel’s drone operations. These individuals trained cartel members how to source, fly and detonate a commercial drone. “A gringo [American] showed us how to make our own explosives since sourcing a real plastic explosive could be too attention-grabbing,” he recounted. “And the Colombian showed us how to drive and maneuver a drone.” Explosive drones have been one of the most dangerous weapons employed by cartels against the Mexican government. In one such attack from November 2022, explosive drones piloted by CJNG operatives attacked a caravan from the Mexican military as they came to the town of Tepalcatepec in Michoacan. News reports said four were killed and six others were injured in the attack. (Related: Mexican cartels now using weaponized DRONES to fight law enforcement in escalating drug war.) CBS News also reported that attacks involving drone-carried bombs, which were unknown in Mexico before 2020, have been on the rise. The Mexican government has recorded 260 such incidents as of writing. Between 2021 and August 2023, the FAM captured 23 weaponized drones. The drones were sized in mainly three states – Michoacan, Guerrero and Jalisco – where CJNG actively operates. Follow DrugCartels.news for more news about the Mexican drug cartels. In a failed attempt to empathize with the victims of the recent wildfires in Hawaii’s Maui island, President Joe Biden claimed he understood the victims by comparing the wildfires to almost losing his car and his cat in a kitchen fire. The wildfires that swept through Maui, centered mostly in the town of Lahaina, had already killed at least 115 people and left another 850 missing. He responded by giving a speech to a crowd in Lahaina where he claimed he knew how it felt to lose a home. (Related: Head of Maui’s emergency management agency resigns amid criticism for not sounding alert sirens during wildfire.) He told the crowd: “I don’t want to compare difficulties, but we have a little sense – Jill and I – of what it’s like to lose a home. “Years ago now – 15 years ago – I was in Washington … [when] lightning struck at home, on a little lake that’s outside of our home – not a lake, a big pond – and hit a wire that came up underneath our home into the heating ducts and air conditioning ducts. To make a long story short, I almost lost my wife, my ’67 Corvette and my cat. “I watched the firefighters, the way they responded … You’re all crazy, thank God. People who run into flames to save other people – and they ran into flames to save my wife, to save my family – not a joke. “We were insured, we did not have any problem. But being out of our home for the better part of a year was difficult. I can only imagine what it’s like to lose your home.” Biden’s false story about possibly losing a car and a cat was not received well. “Joe Biden is a piece of garbage, in my opinion,” said Attorney Thomas Renz on the Aug. 22 episode of his Brighteon.TV program “Lawfare with Tom Renz.” “Biden – who just went over to Hawaii and told everybody about his cat catching fire – told residents whose children died in fires, … who’d lost everything, he told them about almost losing a cat.” “Joe Biden feels the pain of Lahaina [by] talking about his kitchen fire,” said “Fox & Friends Weekend” co-host Will Cain. One restaurant owner in the nearby town of Kihei said in an interview that Biden’s comment was “the most despicable thing this president has ever said.” Biden’s aid to Hawaii wildfire victims? Just $700 Biden’s story about possibly losing his car and his cat as one part of his insured home caught fire comes as his administration offered the victims of the wildfires a mere $700 per household. This one-time check is meant to address “immediate needs” like water, food and clothing. Maui residents and victims of the wildfires even pointed out the disparity between the aid provided to American citizens and the aid sent to other countries, particularly Ukraine. During Biden’s visit, many protesters held up signs comparing the assistance already available for the people of Hawaii. To date, the Biden administration has only approved around $8.2 million in assistance to 2,700 households in Maui. There are nearly 54,000 households on the island. Meanwhile, the Biden administration announced a further $200 million in security assistance heading straight for Kyiv as the wildfires were engulfing hundreds of homes. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) claimed in its official data that it has already given around $2.3 million to just half of the 2,700 households eligible to receive the $700 checks. On its website, FEMA claims to have approved $3.17 million in aid, of which $1.42 million is for “individual and households program” assistance and $1.75 million is for “other needs assistance.” None of the figures coming out from the government paint Biden’s administration in a positive light. The White House struggles to spend more than a handful of a million for American citizens caught in a disaster, yet readily sends hundreds of millions in taxpayer dollars overseas. “He gave them $700 and left,” said Renz. “Meanwhile, he gave billions of dollars to the Nazi regime in Ukraine.” Watch the full Aug. 22 episode of “Lawfare with Tom Renz” below. Lawfare with Tom Renz: Biden FAILS to empathize with Maui wildfire victims by comparing disaster to kitchen fire – Brighteon.TV In a failed attempt to empathize with the victims of…

As of August 22, at least 1,100 people are still missing and 115 bodies have been found but only 27 have been identified following the deadliest wildfire in the United States in over a century. The said blaze took place in the used-to-be picturesque tourist town of Lahaina, home to 12,000 people. The massive number of deaths and total damages left by the “inferno” are being blamed on many incompetencies of the local government of Maui and a possible staged or geoengineered conflagration. “Health Ranger Report” podcast host Mike Adams, in a recent episode, questioned many coincidences on the “government-sponsored terrorism against the people of Hawaii.” “Why were they denied a water supply? Why were they denied the emergency sirens? Why were the children told to go home when the fires were approaching? Why was the fire department called off?” he wondered. This obviously engineered “event’s” aftermath even shocked responders, who found some families huddled together with their children burned alive. Adams blamed the government’s actions, “which many of us believe were deliberate.” He also linked this to the possible giant land grab taking place in Lahaina. According to reports, Hawaii Governor Josh Green warned developers from the U.S. and the rest of the world not to buy up the lands burned by the catastrophic wildfires because the state government is considering acquiring them for the locals so it’s not “stolen by people on the mainland.” “I’m already thinking of ways for the state to acquire that land so that we can put it into workforce housing, to put it back into families, or make it open spaces in perpetuity as a memorial to the people who were lost,” Green claimed. But the people doubt the “innocent” intentions. (Related: LAND GRAB: Hawaii government to confiscate lands burned by deadly Maui wildfires.) For the show’s guest, bioterrorism and weapons of mass destruction expert Steve Quayle, what happened to Hawaii is a full-court press of the globalist Luciferians bent on destroying humanity. “I have never seen such a heartless display of incompetence, almost to the point of everybody’s looking at the other guy to give a better lie than the guy that gave a lie before. [The victims] are our fellow humans and countrymen. And again, it’s a democratic-controlled governor and local hierarchy,” the renowned author noted. Elsewhere in the show, Adams stressed how globalist officials can actually “cause” disasters in many other ways just to carry out their hidden agenda. “They can cause an electrical failure, floods, and droughts and even move weather systems around. Or they can cause riots. It’s just one emergency after another, just engineered one after another. No one is safe right now,” the Natural News and Brighteon founder said. Quayle agreed saying that, that is the key statement: No one is safe. “The idea of safety is fleeing away,” he warned, citing a cyclone hurricane coming onto the West Coast as an example. “But what people are seeing as the controlled narrative – false – of human-initiated climate change is absolutely at the hands of the man using some of the highest technology that exists. There is no natural weather only manipulated weather.” Communication is key In disasters like the one that just happened in Lahaina, Adams and Quayle agreed that communication is key, and it is not “mainstream” communication. “People need to understand that when a controlled action against American people occurs to destroy them, [authorities] always take normal communications offline. They take them down,” Quayle said. “If you control the narrative, you only show images you want the public to see. So, there is a necessity for emergency communications and power.” He further pointed out the significance of being able to connect to the people in a family sphere to update them on your safety and status. Adams lauded his other guest, Tina of SAT123.com, the satellite phone store, for the help it is currently providing Lahaina. According to the sat phone store representative, they got about 30 satellite phones donated in Maui. “People are out there working day and night, looking and trying to rescue people. On the island, people rely on cell sites and landlines and both are down. So, the only communication in the affected areas are satellite phones,” she said, adding that they are encouraging at least a person in a community to have a satellite phone to call out to get help or to call friends and family. She also added that satellite phones are best to use if one does not want to be listened in on because the lines are secured. Steve Quayle and Mike Adams warn of widespread geoengineering that just took place in Maui: “No one is safe!” As of August 22, at least 1,100 people are still missing…

The federal government was not happy when licensed drone operator Davin Phelps tried to film the suspected origin of the so-called “wildfires” that burned down Lahaina and other nearby spots on the Hawaiian island of Maui. According to Fox News host Will Cain, who relayed the bizarre story, Phelps’ drone was grounded by force as it neared the target site. Not long after that, federal agents paid Phelps a visit to have a talk about the matter. During this meeting, federal agents reportedly told Phelps that he is prohibited from filming the area where the Maui Fire is believed to have started. Phelps was still able to capture some footage before this, though, which he shared with Cain. That footage shows entire buildings across entire city blocks reduced to gray ash while the trees surrounding them remain intact. This, many believe, serves as evidence that “wildfires” are not to blame, but rather directed energy weapons (DEWs). Phelps also shared with Cain numerous still images that he captured, which show other strange anomalies that point to this disaster being another false flag incident possibly perpetrated by the government itself. “I don’t want to feed ridiculous conspiracies, but all I can do is tell you the truth,” Cain wrote in a series of posts on X, formerly known as Twitter – check out some of the pictures and video footage below. “I just spoke to a videographer from Lahaina. Davin Phelps. He’s a licensed drone pilot. He’s been flying over Lahaina for the past week. And he has stunning and haunting images of Lahaina.” I don’t want to feed ridiculous conspiracies but all I can do is tell you the truth. I just spoke to a videographer from Lahaina. Davin Phelps. There needs to be more transparency as to what really happened in Maui It turns out that Phelps was hired by an attorney to fly his drone over the suspected area where the fire started, though the airspace above Lahaina has currently been dubbed a no-fly zone for the time being. “But as you can see from the footage that hasn’t stopped him from getting images of Lahaina Town,” Cain noted. “But it was a different experience at the fires [sic] origin.” When the feds showed up at Phelps’ door to have a talk, he pressed them for transparency as to why Lahaina is a no-fly zone, and why the government does not want American citizens to learn the truth about what happened there. “Apparently licensed drone pilots fly through an app coordinated with the FAA,” Cain explained. “That app can deny you permission to fly and remotely ground your drone. It’s very rare. But when Phelps got to the suspected fire origin area he was denied flight and grounded.” “Then he says two government officials (he doesn’t remember what agency) quickly visited him, asking for his license, and ran him off the Lahaina Intermediate School parking lot where he attempted to launch.” What Cain now wants to know is why is there so much secrecy in Lahaina right now? Is there some kind of liability we are unaware of? What about accountability? And why no clarity whatsoever about the true origin and cause of the fire? What are they trying to hide? Amid concerns about a mystery megabuyer acquiring over 52,000 acres of land in Solano County in the San Francisco North Bay region, residents of the county have recently received a survey gauging their support for “a new city.” The survey, circulated by a company known as Flannery Associates, claims that a ballot initiative might be coming to county residents as early as next year regarding the development of a “new city” in eastern Solano County. (Related: San Francisco’s biggest hotels are shutting down due to unpaid debts as fewer tourists visit the crime-riddled, crap-smothered city.) “This project would include a new city with tens of thousands of homes, a large solar energy farm, orchard with over a million new trees, and over 10,000 acres of parks and open space,” reads the survey. The poll then goes on to present a variety of statements that prompt respondents to answer if they are more or less likely to support the project. Some of the statements include: “Solano County residents would be given priority and down payment assistance to buy or lease homes in this new project.” “It would be funded entirely by private sector money.” “It is being led by a group of architects and planners interested in building livable and sustainable communities, not typical developers.” “It is being funded by a group of California firms and wealthy families who are committed to our state’s future.” Furthermore, the “new city” has also been pitched as having the feel of a college town, with its layout having an emphasis on walkability and being made up of a mixture of housing, schools and small businesses. State records indicate that Flannery Associates and its parent company, Flannery Holdings, were incorporated in Delaware in 2018. Since its incorporation, the company has gone on a spree purchasing land in Solano County at premium rates. The prices Flannery Associates was offering to landowners in the county was so high that the company sued several local landowners who it alleges conspired to raise prices even higher to overcharge the company. In its complaint, Flannery Associates provided courts with information on its land purchases. Its filings note that the company had already paid more than $800 million for approximately 140 properties in the Montezuma Hills and Jepson Prairie Reserve areas of Solano County, sometimes offering to pay more than $15,000 per acre. Land acquisitions raise concerns due to proximity to military base Flannery Associates’ land purchases have also raised national security concerns due to the proximity of the land to Travis Air Force Base. Catherine Moy, mayor of Solano county seat Fairfield, noted that she, as a member of countywide boards, had received other offers “to buy land at greatly inflated prices” very near Travis. These offers were turned down. Democratic Rep. Mike Thompson, whose congressional district includes parts of Solano County, said that he has been “pushing” the Department of the Treasury, the Department of Defense and the Federal Bureau of Investigation to open an investigation to find out the exact nature of these land acquisitions. Democratic Rep. John Garamendi, whose district covers the rest of Solano County, called the survey being circulated to residents a setup and said he does not believe Flannery Associates will actually build a “new city” in the county. “To build a new city there is an extraordinary risk,” he said. “Over my nearly five decades of experience in public life, with hundreds of surveys I’ve paid for as well as hundreds and maybe thousands that I’ve looked at, this is a B.S. survey.” “I do know that they have purchased land that could put Travis Air Force Base and national security at serious risk,” he added. “Why are you hiding?” Garamendi and Thompson have been working with a group of state and local politicians like Moy to identify the mysterious figures behind Flannery Associates. But the company has so far been able to maintain its anonymity through Delaware’s corporate protection laws. “I tried contacting the firm that is pushing this poll,” said Moy. “My email bounced back. I then searched for the firm elsewhere, but couldn’t locate them. They are yet another mystery in the ongoing saga of Flannery.” Learn more stories coming out of California at CaliforniaCollapse.news. Mystery buyer of over 52,000 acres in the Bay Area may be planning to build a new city Amid concerns about a mystery megabuyer acquiring over 52,000 acres of land…

President Joe Biden told survivors of the wildfires that ravaged the Hawaiian island of Maui that he has a “sense of what it’s like to lose a home.” In reality, he only experienced a small kitchen fire that was brought under control within minutes. During an appearance at the Lahaina Civic Center, he addressed victims by recounting an August 2004 fire that happened at his home in Delaware. “I don’t want to compare difficulties, but we have a little sense – [First Lady] Jill and I – [of] what it’s like to lose a home,” Biden said. “To make a long story short – I almost lost my wife, my ’67 Corvette and my cat. But all kidding aside, I watched the firefighters [and] the way they responded. They ran into flames to save my wife and save my family. Not a joke.” But a report by the Associated Press (AP) about the fire in the Bidens’ home contradicted the president’s claim. According to the August 2004 report, the fire began after lightning struck Biden’s home in Wilmington, Delaware. The blaze was “contained to the kitchen” and did not spread to other parts of the house. “Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the house, but were able to keep the flames from spreading beyond the kitchen,” said George Lamborn, chief of the Cranston Heights Fire Company. He added that the fire at the Bidens’ residence “was under control in 20 minutes.” No one was injured in the incident, the AP report added. Aside from this, the president also insensitively joked about the wildfires while visiting the ruins of Lahaina town. The Aug. 21 exchange happened as Biden mingled with a first responder. “You guys catch the boots out here? That’s a hot ground, man,” the president quipped. This prompted laughter from the people nearby. The insensitive joke and the blatant lie were delivered as Biden arrived on the island to survey the damage in Lahaina, located at the island’s western portion, after 13 days. He told survivors: “The country grieves with you, stands with you and will do everything possible to help you recover, rebuild and respect culture and traditions.” (Related: Chinese state media (justifiably) MOCKS Biden’s INCOMPETENCE in handling Hawaii wildfires.) Rep. Fry: Biden’s visit to Maui “cringeworthy” According to Breitbart, an estimated 480 people have died in the conflagration. More than 800 are still missing, with Hawaii Gov. Josh Green saying children likely comprise the majority of those unaccounted for. The president’s visit, alongside his quips, did not sit well with at least two Republican congressmen. House Majority Whip Tom Emmer from Minnesota expressed his disgust in a statement to Breitbart. “Biden blundering in times of crisis is as predictable as a snowy Minnesota winter; it’s inevitable,” the congressman said. “If his presidency has taught us anything, it’s to not hold your breath for competent leadership from this White House.” Meanwhile, South Carolina Rep. Russell Fry chided the chief executive’s visit to the island during an appearance on Fox Business. He told the network’s Cheryl Casone that the Biden administration’s “American last policies … were on full display” at that time. “I mean, it was the most cringeworthy visit of a disaster area that I’ve ever seen. That comment [about the 2004 fire at his home], the comment about the ground being hot, showing up two weeks late,” Fry remarked. “I think it’s inexcusable, the conduct of this administration. And quite frankly, the people of Maui and this country deserve better than what they’re receiving right now.” Visit JoeBiden.news for more stories about the lies of the incumbent president. LYIN’ BIDEN tells Maui wildfire survivors he has “sense of what it’s like to lose a home” President Joe Biden told survivors of the wildfires that ravaged the Hawaiian island…

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has vowed to kick-start a probe into President Joe Biden’s response to the wildfires that ravaged the town of Lahaina, located in the western portion of Hawaii’s Maui island. His promise to investigate the chief executive’s response followed the disaster that has killed more than 110, with more than 1,000 individuals missing. The house speaker said during an Aug. 23 appearance in New York that he is very concerned about the response. “We still have hundreds of individuals that are missing. I think there’s [going to] have to be a congressional investigation in response [to] what happened. How could we lose that many Americans in today’s age? And the federal response seems very delayed.” McCarthy also rebuked Biden for his initial refusal to comment on the disaster, alongside his delay in visiting the ground zero of the devastation. The president, while on vacation in his home state of Delaware, remarked “no comment” when a reporter asked him about the Lahaina wildfires. “The president’s response – to have no comment? That’s unacceptable,” the speaker remarked. “So I’m going to work with committees too to look at investigating what went on so that never happens again as well.” Meanwhile, the first couple visited Maui on Aug. 21 amid growing criticism over Washington’s perceived lack of support. The Bidens were met with mixed reactions during their visit. The presidential motorcade drove past disgruntled residents booing and jeering. Some took it a step further, giving the motorcade the middle finger and waving Trump 2024 flags. During his speech, Biden promised survivors of the wildfire that the federal government would support them “as long as it takes.” He continued: “The country grieves with you [and] stands with you, and we’ll do everything possible to help you recover, rebuild, and respect culture and traditions when the rebuilding takes place.” GOP reps: Biden visit to Lahaina “predictable” and “cringeworthy” The tourist town of Lahaina – home to 12,000 – was almost wiped off the map. Over 3,000 structures were turned to ash, with the estimated damage amounting to $5 billion. While no single cause has been determined for the fires as of writing, experts suggest power lines that weren’t shut off despite high winds may have caught fire when they fell. At least two of McCarthy’s colleagues in the GOP expressed disgust over Biden’s response to the Maui disaster. During an Aug. 22 appearance on Fox Business, South Carolina Rep. Russell Fry rebuked the president’s visit. “The ‘American last’ policies of the Biden administration were on full display,” he told the network’s Cheryl Casone. “I mean, it was the most cringeworthy visit of a disaster area that I’ve ever seen.” “I think it’s inexcusable, the conduct of this administration. Quite frankly, the people of Maui and this country deserve better than what they’re receiving right now.” Even House Majority Whip Tom Emmer from Minnesota blasted the president’s blunders at the disaster’s ground zero in a statement to Breitbart News. “Biden blundering in times of crisis is as predictable as a snowy Minnesota winter: it’s inevitable,” he wrote. “If his presidency has taught us anything, it’s to not hold your breath for competent leadership from this White House.” The Minnesota congressman referenced various gaffes by the incumbent while visiting Lahaina. Foremost among them is Biden’s downplaying of the suffering experienced by residents as he compared the wildfires to a small kitchen fire. He also insensitively joked about the “hot ground” at Lahaina while touring the town.
