View Life from God’s Perspective
COMMON SENSE: By changing your worldview to see reality from a biblical perspective, your entire outlook on life will be transformed, freeing you from the shackles that have held you captive—freeing you from the strongholds that have ensured your life remains unfulfilled.
This is how the Holy Spirit brings your thoughts into captivity to the Mind of Christ. If you want to be the man or woman God created you to be, if you want to enjoy the abundant life that awaits you, this is how to achieve your goals. God’s truth is reality—the only reality—not simply one reality among numerous competing realities. Any alternative theory of reality is a deception—a satanic lie. To acknowledge another perspective as being true—to validate a perspective that repudiates God’s Word—is not only false but it also intimates that God is a liar.
You can’t have it both ways. At first, this may seem harsh. If it does, it’s an indication of exactly how entrenched the “any-avenue-to-God-is-valid” stronghold, championed by the pantheism of American Progressivism, has become in your life. To be God’s man or woman, the supremacy of pantheism, which is a major fortress in twenty-first-century American thinking, must be torn down. There can be no compromise, not if you want to develop the mind of Christ, not if you want to bring your thoughts into captivity to the Lord.
If you prefer to be popular, which you can easily be by embracing Satan’s lies to be true and valid, this is always an option, but it comes with an exorbitant price tag. It will darken your thoughts, making it much more difficult to discern God’s will.
Because having your thoughts reflect those of the Lord’s is such a threat to Satan, he will do anything to thwart or impede you. Satan is quite adept at watering down the truth. Accepting a lukewarm version of Christianity is something millions of believers do. Christians who do are not a substantial threat to the Prince of Darkness. They have rendered themselves impotent.
Our culture, influenced by the spirit of deception, has lost its understanding of the word “Truth.” It’s a term that no longer reflects anything definite, especially when it comes to the nature of God. To speak of God’s truth openly, as if it is real, is to invite ridicule, scorn, and contempt from Progressives. In America, just about any perspective is tolerated, other than being a Bible-believing Christian. Even marginal Christians are accepted, at least to some degree.
In our nation, which is dominated by Progressive ideology, rejecting God’s authority has become a mark of sophistication. Maintaining such a position validates one’s erudition. The Progressives’ rejection is accompanied by contempt and castigation, which nearly always intimidates people of faith.
It is a significant error to believe we require the approval of people like these, especially when it comes at the expense of abandoning our core beliefs. Christ stated that the world rejected Him and it would do the same to us. This is not an insignificant statement. Everybody wants to be liked, but not at the expense of abandoning foundational convictions. It’s too great a price to pay, but this is precisely what millions of Christians do.
If you reject God’s truth, your faith becomes just a psychological gimmick. You may get along better with those who adhere to Progressive thinking, but you will be rejecting God’s authority in the process. Most Christians don’t realize this is what they are doing, but it is.
